Jobfox Overview:

Jobfox matches job seekers with employers, provides a professional web page for personal branding, and has a selection of tools, including text messaging, resume tracking, and Instant Messaging (IM) to manage your job search.

Jobfox Registration:

Enter you email address, which will be your account ID, a password, and your zip code to register with Jobfox. You'll decide whether you want your contact information to be public or private, and whether employers can contact you via Instant Message.

If you opt for Instant Messaging you may want to set up a separate account to use just for your job search.

Next, you can either upload your resume and have Jobfox analyze it for matching elements and create a trackable resume for you (optional) or or answer questions about your background and employment history that will be used to create your Jobfox web page.

Your Jobfox Page:

Once you have registered, you will have a Jobfox page that will be matched with job postings and that you can use for personal branding and job searching (sample Jobfox page).

Jobfox Tracking Center:

When you have created your Jobfox page, you will see the Tracking Center. You'll be able to look at views to your Jobfox page, your resume, and as a job match. You can also add or update a cell phone number to get a text message when someone does view your information.

Clients can also download a trackable resume or upload a new resume, and edit their JobFox page.

My Jobs:

When you created your profile, your resume will have been analyzed by Jobfox or you will have answered some questions about your skills and what you did in each of your positions. Jobfox matches those skills with the employer’s job specifications. Both you, and the employer, will see a list of matches.

Click on the My Jobs tab to see the jobs you are matched up with and whether the employer has viewed your information. If you haven't been contacted by an employer, you can follow up by sending a special "I’m interested" message.

Jobfox Tools:

Jobfox has a variety of tools to help you manage your job search. Your Jobfox page can be shared (with a widget) easily on your MySpace or other networking site page. The Resume Tracker service sends a text message to your cell phone when your resume has been viewed by an employer. There's an Instant Messaging service that employers can use (if you opt in) to talk to candidates in real time. And, just in case you're using Jobfox in the office, click on the Boss Over Shoulder link at the bottom of the page to open a Google search page.
